TRemote SerialPort is an application to connect two serial ports via network. Therefore you would be able to send command to a serial port remotely and receive command answer over a network.
The software has two modules: Sending Module and Receiving Module. Each module can perform in two modes: Application Mode and SerialPort Mode.
Application mode in Sending module is for sending command from computer but in SerialPort mode, the software receives data from a COM port first and then sends it through network.

Shaft Designing using MATLAB

A shaft is a rotating member, usually of circular cross section, used to transmit power or motion. It provides the axis of rotation, or oscillation, of elements such as gears, pulleys, flywheels, cranks, sprockets, and the like [Shigley’s Mechanical Engineering Design]. Main goal of a mechanical engineering for designing a shaft is to determine shaft average diameter.

In ShaftDesigning source code, user should determine design factor, stress concentration factors, Marin factors, maximum bending momentum, maximum torsion, shaft material properties and initial value for shaft diameter on the . Then the source will calculate a good approximation for shaft average diameter by fixed point method. Combination of Von Mises yield criterion and Soderberg criterion are used for dynamic designing.

ShaftSolver source code is an additional tool for calculating bending momentum and torsion on the shaft. The code also solves supports forces and plots total momentum diagram based on elements used on the shaft.

Create a 2D Sketch on Front-plane.
Start drawing a glass profile on the plane.
Use Revolve Extrude to create a glass.
Then make a new 2D Sketch on Top-plane for drawing a lid.
Draw a circle on the Top-plane Sketch.
Create the lid via Extruding the circle.
After that use Mirror feature to make the copy the body in other side.
Now you can create a support.
To have three supports, use Circular pattern.
Finally filleting edges.

TSecurityCam converts your WebCam to a Security Camera (IP Camera). Connect your webcam to your computer. Launch TSecCam and select your camera device in ' Camera List ' box. Now if any person crosses in front of your camera, the software will alert you with a sound.
TSecCam also can dial an emergency number as an optional caution. Only you need to choose a phone number and select your modem COM port. If the number is busy, the application redials.

TQuiz is an application for taking virtual quiz. Teachers can use TQuiz to examine their students very easily and the students will enjoy the quiz.

How to use:

TQuiz has a question database is named ' QDB.mdb '. You can edit the database (e.g By MS Access) to record your own question. Meanwhile you should register 4 answers for a question. One correct answer and three wrong answers. Therefore the user has one 4 choices. If user chooses correct answer, she/he gets 3 positive point. If user chooses wrong answer, gets 1 negative point. And if user chooses no answer gets no point.

Examiner should specify Answer Key and quiz duration by using TAKeyGen. After running TAKeyGen you see software window. Now fill textboxes. Choose an integer (bigger than zero) for minute field. This field is for quiz duration. If you enter 20, the exam duration will be 20 minutes.

Then fill Answer(s) part. You should enter a stream contains the correct answers choice number.
For example, if Questoin1 Answer is second choice, Questoin2 Answer is first one and Question4 Answer is forth choice; your answer stream will be ' 214 '.

At last hit Generator button to create answer key. When answer key generated, you can save it. Choose this name: ' Setup.dat ' for the answer key.

Now copy TQuiz.exe (Main Software), QDB.mdb (Your Edited Question Database) and Setup.dat (Your Answer Key) to a new folder.
The quiz is ready. If a user launches TQuiz.exe in the new folder, she/he can take exam.

When the exam duration finished, TQuiz will show the user her/his report card.

Note: Do not copy TAKeyGen.exe to your new folder because this file is only for generating answer key.

3-After that go to ' Saving Options ' box. Choose a path for saving new pictures by clicking ' Browse ' button. Then choose a name for pictures in saving. Now you should choose a extension for images to save; like: BMP, JPG and etc. If you check ' Keep original Extensions of File in Saving ', TPicResizer will save new pictures with the extension that the original pictures have. By checking ' Remove Property Item of Pictures while Saving ', the software will save new pictures without any property items; like: Camera Model, Date Picture Taken, ISO and etc.

4-At last click ' Start Resizing ' button and wait for your new pictures.

In Windows XP there are many DLLs. In each Dll, there some functions are named API Functions. Windows launches these functions by RUNDLL32.exe . RUNDLL32 has some parameters. Via these parameters you can tell RUNDLL32 to load which dll and launch what function.
Powrprof.dll in SYSTEM32 is a class library for putting your computer in Stand by or Hibernate mode.

Press ' WindowsKey + R ' to open Run. Now type one of these two commands and press Enter:

Command for StandBy:
rundll32 Powrprof,SetSuspendState 0,1,1

Command for Hibernate:
rundll32 Powrprof,SetSuspendState 1,1,1

Also you can create a new shortcut and insread of a location of an item, type one the commands above. The shortcut will put your PC to StandBy or Hibernate mode.

Go to ' My Computer '. In menu bar, go to ' Tools>Folder Options '. In new window, go to ' File Types ' tab.
Select your extensions in Registered file types. Hit ' Advanced '. In Edit File Type window, hit ' Change Icon '.
In Change Icon window, you can select your icon. By Browse button, you can explore in more places.
Hit Ok. Hit Ok again. At Last hit Close.

By Registry Editor:

Type ' regedit ' in Run (Press Winkey + R ) to open Registry Editor . Go to ' HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\(the extension) ' ; for example, ' HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.bmp '.

A way to bug someone

Victim says: "I can not open Exe files?!?!? "

Type ' regedit ' in Run (Press WinKey+R ) to open Registry Editor.
Go to ' HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.exe '. In right part, open ' (Default) '.
In Value data, type ' txtfile ' instead of ' exefile '. Hit OK & close Registry Editor. Then the .EXE files will be open in Notepad .

Note: If you type the path of your Exe file in ' .CMD ' or ' .BAT ' files, the Exe files will not be open in Notepad.

If you want to disable .BAT files, type ' regedit ' in Run (Press WinKey+R ) to open Registry Editor.
Go to ' HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.bat '. In right part, open ' (Default) '.
In Value data, type ' txtfile ' instead of ' batfile '. Hit OK.

If you want to disable .CMD files, type ' regedit ' in Run (Press WinKey+R ) to open Registry Editor.
Go to ' HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.cmd '. In right part, open ' (Default) '.
In Value data, type ' txtfile ' instead of ' cmdfile '. Hit OK & close Registry Editor.

Send message on LAN

Type ' services.msc ' in Run. In menu bar; go to Action > Connect to another computer ... .
Type name of the computer that you want to send message to it. Hit OK.
Then in menu bar; go to Action > All Tasks > Send Console Message... .
In Message part, type your message. Finally hit Send.

Note1: To see the names of computer on the LAN, in menu bar; go to Action > Connect to another computer ... . Hit Browse. In new window, hit Advanced ... . Then hit Find in new window. At the bottom of the window, you can see the Computer's Name.

Note2: You can type ' cmd ' in Run & then type ' net view ' in Command Prompt, to see the compter names on LAN

11-Do you want to see WinXP Tooltips?
Type ' regedit ' in Run to open Registry Editor. Go to ' HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Tips '.
Now you can see the tooltips in String Value.

12-Do you want to hide a file in another file?
Copy the file that you want to hide to a folder; for example ' D:\Folder '. The file should a compress file like ZIP, RAR ,TAR and ... .
Copy other file (The hidden file will be attach to this file) to the folder that contains the file that you want to hide; here is ' D:\Folder '.
Type ' CMD ' in Run to open Command Prompt . Type ' D: ' in Command Prompt . Type ' cd ' and the path of the folder that contains the file that you want to hide in Command Prompt ; here is 'cd D:\Folder '.
Type ' Copy /b 1stFile + 2ndFile 3rdFile '. 1stFile is the name of the file that The hidden file will be attach to it.
2ndFile is the name of the file that you want to hide it.
3rdFile is the name of the file that will be produced and contians the hidden file. For example ' copy /b File1.jpg + File2.zip File3.bmp '.
To run the hidden file open 3rdFile (here is File3.bmp ) by WinRAR, WinZIP ,KGB and ... .
Note: The extension of First file and Third file can not be Z, ZIP, RAR, TAR and ... .

For hiding Control Panel Icons, Type ' regedit ' in Run. Go to ' HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\don't load '. Create a String Value (Right-click on right part of Registry Editor and hit New>String Value ). Rename the String Value to your CPL (Control Panel Extension ) file name.
For example, ' firewall.cpl '. Then open the String Value; here is ' firewall.cpl '; to modify it. Type ' No ' in Value data text box and hit OK. Close Registry Editor.
If you want to show the Icon delete the String Value that you created.

2-Do you know how to open a folder in Windows XP Explorer by CMD?
Open notepad (Type ' notepad ' in Run). Type ' explorer /e, FolderName ' in notepad; for example: ' explorer /e, C:\My Folder '. Save it; for example: ' Text.txt '. Change the extension of the file that you saved it by notepad to ' *.bat '; here is like this: ' Text.txt ' is changed to '' Text.bat '. Finished. Now run your file, Text.bat .

Note: To see extensions of files, Go to ' My Computer>Tools>Folder Options>View '. Then Unmark ' Hide extensions for known file types '.

You want to go to D:\Folder1\Folder2\Folder3\Folder4\Folder5 . But with XP Environment; type %anything% in Run & go to your directory. But how?

Press WinKey + R to open Run. Type ' regedit ' to open Regisrty Editor. Go to ' HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Session Manager\Environment '. Create a string value & choose a name for it; for example ' myfolder '. Open your string value to modify it; here is myfolder . Type the path of your folder or file; for example ' D:\Folder1\Folder2\Folder3\Folder4\Folder5 ' or ' D:\Folder1\Folder2\Folder3\Folder4\Folder5\Text.txt '. Close the Registry Editor. Log off & then Log on. Now type %your string value name%; here is %myfolder%, in Run (WinKey + R). Now you see your folder or file.
Note: The Registry path ' ControSet001 ' can be ' ControlSet002 ' or ' ControlSet003 '.
